Yokeless/Yoked Electrically Excited Synchronous
Machine, YEESMA
YEESMA is a groundbreaking motor technology that eliminates the need for rare-earth magnets, significantly reducing material costs and environmental impact.
‒45% Bill of Material
High Potential, Cost-Effective
No need for rare-earth magnet,
cutting costs without cutting performance.
‒50% CO2 emissions
Greener by Design
Less use of copper and no rare-earth magnet,
lower CO₂ emissions and a stronger alignment
with sustainability goals.
‒25% Volume
Made for Mass Production.
Simplified structure = faster, easier assembly.
YEESMA wants to transform sustainability and cost
from a dream, to a vision, to a reality.
With over 35 years in the automotive and electric motor industry, Philippe Siad FARAH, our Co‒founder of YEESMA, shares the why behind their journey:
A vision to remove rare‒earth magnets from electric motors—not just to reduce costs, but to solve real issues of sustainability, supply chain risk, and environmental harm.
Rare-Earth Free vs. Bulkier Motor & Expensive Inverter
To reduce the use of rare‒earth magnets and achieve the same torque and power ratings, but the overall package becomes 30–40% larger and the inverter requires higher phase current.
It is not cheaper for the whole packaging.
As an axial flux EESM, YEESMA is more compact, requires lower phase current. Hence it reduces inverter costs. Put it simply: a cheaper motor and a cheaper inverter. That’s how we deliver significant reductions in overall BOM costs.
Power Without Rare Earths. Progress Without Limits.
At YEESMA, we’re redefining electric mobility with motors that are high‒performance, low‒emission, and free from rare‒earth dependencies.
